The the whole philosophy and emphasis of our sunny Marbella yoga retreat is geared to ensuring that our guests enjoy their Spanish yoga holiday. Unlike many yoga retreats, we don't think that bland food, strict regimes, and drab guest rooms are prerequisites for effective yoga practice and meditation.
You have only to look at the dictionary definition of the word "retreat" and you will see that there is no mention of privations or giving up life's little comforts. The word simply means finding seclusion, basically, stepping back from day-to-day life. It certainly doesn't imply you have to enroll into some sort of boot camp and exist on a diet of brown rice and lentils!
Now that we have cleared up that little matter, it's time to tell you about some of the treats you can expect when taking one of our very different yoga holidays.
While it's true that the food we serve is prominently vegetarian, we always make sure that it is served fresh and contains the finest ingredients. You wont find rice porridge or watery soups anywhere on our menu.
If guests prefer to skip the vegetarian options, we are happy for them to try our tasty fish dishes. In fact, we are always looking to add new dishes to our menu; dishes such as our recently introduced Andalucian Cod which we prepare using local olives, garlic, tomatoes and fresh herbs. To further underline our commitment to making sure our guests feel at home, we are more than happy for them to enjoy a glass (or two) of wine with their meals.
Between yoga classes, many guests choose to spend their free time relaxing around the pool, while others opt to treat themselves to a rejuvenating and authentic Ayurvedic massage in our purpose-built facility.
At the risk of sounding corny, it has to be said, just as long as our guests our happy, then so are we.
