Lotus Blooming Yoga Retreat Marbella - Yoga News...Traffic outside the Houses of Parliament in London was brought to an abrupt halt yesterday by a woman protesting against the war in Afghanistan.
The woman, believed to be acting alone, stripped-off, climbed on top of a black cab before promptly adopting a modified form of the classic auspicious yoga pose.
Her five minute protest caused minor chaos as bemused tourists flocked around the equally bemused cab drivers' vehicle to take photos of her revealing demonstration.
After sitting crossed-legged on the roof of the cab for a number of minutes, the woman, thought to be in her early 30‘s, stood up and made peace signs with her fingers whilst shouting, ‘Troops out of Afghanistan’.
Eventually the police arrived and managed to gently remove the protestor who was led away covered in a sheet to spare her blushes.
Carl Backland aged 50, who witnessed the woman’s protest said: “I was on my way home from work when I saw this woman stripping-off. Then she jumped on the top of the taxi when it stopped at the traffic lights.”
He added: “The taxi driver wasn't very pleased to say the least. There were lots of tourists around they couldn't believe it. They were taking pictures on their mobile phones. It completely stopped the traffic but I thought the police handed it well."
It's unclear if the woman will face police charges over her original but somewhat disruptive demonstration.
